[edit]Joker image
[edit]an editor who is very insistent that HIS decisions about images be followed is altering the infobox image for Joker (Comics). Please join in this discussion, should one commence. (Also, see his edits to Two-face, where he cites his own OR about popularity and recognizability to support his changes. ThuranX 04:38, 30 May 2007 (UTC)
Bland Bot Error
[edit]I wish I were here to tell you about another interesting error your bot is making, but alas, mine is completely mundane: FYI, your bot may occasionally change legitimate uses of the words "an other" into "another." [1]. If it's picking up on the unusual phrase in this quote, you might also be on the watch for miscorrections in articles that describe a person as "an other", in the classical sense or as a pop-culture reference. ~CS 06:33, 14 June 2007 (UTC)
- Hi CS42. Believe me, at the moment I'm more than happy to have bland bugs. I actually remember looking at this particular bot correction and saying to myself "yeah, OK, typo." Damn these postmodernists and their wordplay! I've added this 'an other's to the 7 other in my exception list, and I'll try to watch out for this kind of thing in future, but I'll have to say, even if I spent a while reading that article, I'm not sure I'd have caught the wordplay. Thanks for the note, CmdrObot 19:01, 14 June 2007 (UTC)
Respect Thread Conversions
[edit]I'm looking for folks to help convert Respect Threads to wiki formatting on Project Fanboy: WikiFans. Respect Threads, showcase scans of feats performed by comic book characters and have gained an audience on several comic book message boards. A few other wiki editors and myself are trying to convert them from the unprofessional look of a bunch of posts on a message board to the formatting common with WikiMedia wiki's. To view an example of what we're doing, here is a link to Respect Silver Surfer.
I was wondering if you might have time to contribute your comic book knowledge and/or scans of comic book characters performing feats, and help us out with our Respect Articles project?Millennium Cowboy (talk) 03:01, 27 July 2008 (UTC)
Request for your opinion
[edit]Hi. Can you join this discussion in order to offer us your thoughts? We need as many people as we can get in this, since the 4-6 participants from previous discussions on this matter was felt by some to be insufficient. It would be most appreciated. Thanks. Old comics images
[edit]Hi. Thanks for your work on comics. If you didn't know, cartoons (and other printed material) first published in the USA before 1 January 1923 are all public domain per US law now. No need to add any fair use rationale; they can be tagged as {{PD-US}}. Cheers, Infrogmation (talk) 19:39, 9 October 2009 (UTC)
Orphaned non-free image File:Gothamlicencesmall.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Gothamlicencesmall.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of "file" pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Skier Dude (talk) 06:56, 12 December 2009 (UTC)
Revert to neutral in Circumcision
[edit]Click on view history and select a version you agree with ([[2]]) and then click undo and click save to maintain the honest neutral concensus text. Just don't do it more than twice per 24 hrs. Trying to discuss anything with Jakew, Coppertwin, jayg, and Avi is a huge waste of time. They are a cabal, and discussion a sham designed to waste time with false statements. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 172.191.234.191 (talk) 01:18, 26 May 2010 (UTC)

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Disambiguation link notification for May 18
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited The Chipmunks Go to the Movies, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Hello, Dolly!. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
