The whole section on treatment here doesn't fit with a page focused on "high-functioning autism," a historic and now-widely-discourage term. This page should focus on that term/concept, not on Autism generally. I think the treatment section here needs to go and readers should be directed to the Autism therapies, which, unlike this page, should be kept update with scientific advances. Any ojections? I agree. This entry should cover the term & its history. Everything about autism more broadly should be omitted. However, if there are certain "treatments" or comorbidities that were specifically studied in the context of HFA or are otherwisee connected to the term, that should be reported.--TempusTacet (talk) 18:58, 1 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I see your point, though I think that matter is one that needs to determined by the individual.
Now that this has been edited, I think we should cut subcategories for Diagnosis, Causes, and Treatment entirely and add the corresponding main pages (ie Diagnosis for Autistm, Causes of Autism, etc) to the SEE ALSO section. Where there is specific info regarding HFA (such as the line in Diagnosis regarding IQ), let's add that above rather than having a whole dead section remain.
