Sum total of all Essayists
[edit]Hi,
I believe this page should be a sum total for all essayists, of all languages, nationalities, etc. There are specific pages for different essayists, but the level of searching required is quite deep, and may turn off some people (Also, the inter-relational nature of essayists over time isn't shown well that way). I propose that we go about looking for essayists and adding them all to this category, as well as any other they fit under (Eg French essayists, etc).

- Why not also subcategorize by, let's say, style, by period, or by theme of the essays (if you believe any of those is relevant)? Why must we have instead a huge and meaningless category of names with no context? Can you picture how big and absurd a cat:essayist would get? Wouldn't it be more relevant to have a writer included in both a "19th century essayists" and a, say, "Bulgarian essayists" instead of the "very meaningful" but totally useless on its own "Essayists"?Dahn 07:09, 7 July 2006 (UTC)
How is there a self-referencial subcagegory and how can we delete it if it doesn't appear to exist appart from as a redirection? The redirection is fine, but having 'essayist' as a subcategory of 'essayists' is pretty useless. [[User:HamYoyo|HamYoyo|Contact Me!]] 13:01, May 31, 2004 (UTC)
